Document Cameras for
English & Science Departments

Document cameras, also known as visual presenters, visualizers, digital overheads, or docucams, are real-time image capturing devices for displaying an object to a large audience. Document cameras in classrooms are helpful for showing the editing or revisions on paper documents, checking homework, providing lecture notes, as well as demonstrating a new task. When a document camera is being used during instruction or for modeling, the image is projected on a large screen for the entire to class to see; another benefit is the person using the document camera doesn't have to have their back turned to the class like they would using a chalk board or dry-erase board.
