The Foundation provides annual financial support to further the educational mission of Dubuque Senior High School. Grants and gifts support departments, teachers, students, student groups, school activities, and programs.

Award: $1,000 DSHS Educational Foundation Scholarship Kylie was involved in National Honor Society, Student Support Foundation, Golf, Softball, Peer Helpers, and Silver Cord while at Senior. She also served as the men’s golf manager. Being a member of the state-qualifying golf team her freshman year is her most memorable moment of high school. This fall Kylie will be attending Northeast Iowa Community College where she will study early childhood education.
Award: $1,000 DSHS Educational Foundation Scholarship During her time at Dubuque Senior High School, Emma was involved in National Honor Society, Student Council, Student Ambassadors, Student Support Foundation, Cross Country, and Tennis. Her favorite memory from Senior was having a Pitch Perfect riff-off with her team on the way to the State Cross Country Meet. Emma will be attending the University of Iowa this fall where she will major in neuroscience.
Award: $1,000 DSHS Educational Foundation Scholarship While at Senior High School, Carly was involved in National Honor Society, Silver Cord, Peer Helpers, Theater, and Speech. Although Carly has dozens of memorable moments from her time at Senior, one that sticks out the most is receiving the Critic’s Choice Banner in Choral Reading at the 2022 IHSSA All-State Large Group Festival. This fall Carly is attending Iowa State University where she will major in Agricultural Systems Technology.
Award: $2,000 DSHS Educational Foundation Inspire Scholarship While at Dubuque Senior High School, Corbin was involved in Student Council, Band, and Swimming. Looking back at his time at Senior, Corbin remembers how welcoming Ms. Barber was his freshman year. He also remembers the support he received from Josh Blum on swim team. In the fall Corbin will be attending Loras College to study psychology and education.
Award: $1,000 DSHS Educational Foundation Scholarship While at Dubuque Senior High School, Jayda was involved in the following activities: Silver Cord Board Member, National Honor Society, Track, Cross Country, Green Team, Speech, and Thespian Troupe. Jayda said joining cross country her senior year was definitely a memorable moment. This is where she discovered a supportive community and some of her greatest friends. In the fall Jayda will be attending the University of Missouri – Columbia. She is planning to major in psychology and minor in Spanish.
Award: $1,000 DSHS Educational Foundation Scholarship While at Dubuque Senior High School, Maura participated in National Honor Society, Orchestra, Choir, Speech, Theater, and Ram Cam Crew. She also became a member of Thespian Troupe 69 and volunteered to photograph numerous events at Senior. In addition, she was selected as the student speaker for the graduation commencement. One of Maura’s favorite moments from her high school career was the day of homecoming this past year. She really soaked up every moment of it since it was her last homecoming. The goofiness of the assembly, the excitement at the football game, and everything in between made it one of the most thrilling days of high school for her. She was able to be down on the field taking photos, which was the highlight of her day. Photography is a passion Maura found at Senior, and she is forever grateful to the people who helped her discover it. Maura will be attending William Penn University in Oskaloosa, Iowa, this fall. She is going to major in New Media (previously Digital Communications) which entails everything from film to photography to radio to 3D printing.
